Job summary

QualityWorks Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer / Application Developer to support the stability, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of an AI-enabled software platform within a federal/DoD environment.

You will investigate and resolve defects identified through autonomous testing, human validation, monitoring, or user feedback, and perform quarterly AI model tuning to optimize performance and behavior while ensuring compliance with security requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with APIs, databases, and distributed components.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs and system issues.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers to reproduce defects and verify fixes.
• Perform quarterly AI model tuning and optimization.
• Maintain technical documentation for fixes and configurations.
• Support controlled releases and deployments.
• Follow government/configuration-management processes.
• Ensure security/compliance for DoD environment.
