Job summary

Tactical Engineering & Analysis, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support system design, prototyping, analysis, and assessment of future capabilities within a new AI/ML development team for the NSWCDD Intelligent Automation Division.

You will help expand the US Navy’s capabilities with AI, robotics, and unmanned systems. Responsibilities include leading software subsystems, driving SDLC, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with product teams to deliver scalable, high-quality

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM field is required.
Active security clearance or ability to obtain one is desirable.
Experience leading design and SDLC in Agile environments.
Familiarity with AI/ML or LLM-based problem solving is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and maintenance of complex software subsystems.
Lead technical design discussions, establish architectural standards, and mentor junior engineers.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions using modern languages and frameworks.
Write clean, well-documented code and perform rigorous code reviews.
Manage the SDLC from concept to deployment with timely delivery.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver functional solutions.
Stay updated on emerging technologies to improve system performance.
Participate in Agile rituals such as sprint planning and stand-ups.
