Job summary

QualityWorks Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer / Application Developer to maintain and improve an AI-enabled platform in a federal/DoD tech context. You will investigate defects, ensure stability, and conduct quarterly AI model tuning while addressing security and compliance requirements.

The role focuses on defect resolution, system maintenance, and secure development practices, with collaboration across Test Engineers and other teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering or application development experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining production web applications.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application bugs and system issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis for complex issues.
• Develop, test, document, and deploy reliable fixes.
• Collaborate with QA/Test Engineers to reproduce defects and validate fixes.
• Support maintenance, upgrades, and security remediation.
• Follow secure coding practices and maintain technical documentation.
