Job summary

SmartLight Analytics is seeking an automation-first QA Engineer to own test automation across internal tools, APIs, and portals. You will design, build, and maintain an automated test framework (Playwright) as the primary regression gate, and bring AI-enabled tooling into how tests are written and maintained.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated regression suites with modern frameworks.
• Ability to test both UI and API layers with an eye for data flows and contracts.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and responsible automation maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated regression suites covering internal tools and carrier portals.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD so they run on relevant changes automatically.
• Apply AI-enabled tooling to speed test authoring and maintenance while ensuring human review where needed.
• Act as the release quality gate based on automated results and documented risk decisions.
• Document defects with reproducible steps and clear severity for engineering teams.
