Job summary

ScholarshipOwl is seeking a QA Engineer to lead end-to-end quality assurance across web platforms and microservices. You will use AI tools to maximize test coverage, implement Playwright-based E2E tests, and ensure zero-regression releases in a modern multi-service architecture.

As part of a fully remote team, you will audit Figma specs, run contract tests, and integrate tests into GitLab CI pipelines, while collaborating with frontend and backend teams to improve quality and speed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Web QA Engineering / Test Automation.
• 1+ year actively incorporating AI coding tools into daily workflows.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (or Cypress/Selenium) for automated E2E, visual regression, and cross-browser testing.
• Experience testing GraphQL and REST/JSON:API endpoints.
• Proficiency inspecting Nuxt/Vue DOM elements and Figma specs/tokens; using Browser DevTools.
• Experience integrating automated tests into Git/GitLab CI pipelines; configuring HTML/JUnit reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Clear, concise async English communication for bug reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and execute parallelized E2E smoke and regression test suites.
• Establish automated schema and contract test coverage for the platform.
• Integrate AI tools to generate Playwright scripts from Figma specs and automate log triage.
• Audit design specs, UX flows, and API contracts early in the cycle.
• Monitor build health and logs to isolate bugs across frontend and backend services.
• Validate asynchronous messaging and outreach workflows.
• Use Vitest and Storybook for visual regression and component testing.
