Job summary

EDUCAUSE is seeking an Analytics Engineer to support enterprise data workflows from requirements through development, ensuring reliable data access for stakeholders.

The role focuses on business analysis, data transformation in Microsoft Fabric, and presenting insights via Power BI. You will collaborate with the Enterprise Data Management team to expand data sources, improve pipelines, and deliver timely member engagement analytics.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional SQL database experience with schema design and reporting.
• 2–5 years experience with Microsoft Power BI, data modeling, and BI dashboards.
• 2–5 years experience with data collection, preparation, transformation, modeling, reporting and analysis.
• Preferred: engagement-related scoring experience.
• Preferred: market share analysis from demographics and engagement data.

Responsibilities

• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards to identify trends and insights for membership and the association.
• Create, maintain, and modify data models and dashboards using Fabric and Power BI.
• Develop AI-assisted analytics for natural language exploration of data models and reports.
• Perform data analysis to inform planning and development of BI resources and reports.
• Create ad-hoc reports using SQL and Excel/SharePoint.
• Work with integrated data from other systems to support surveys and marketing lists.
• Assist with data pipelines and integrations in Microsoft Fabric.
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL schemas and artifacts for reporting.
• Design AI interfaces to aid analytics report development and SQL optimization.
• Monitor data pipelines in Fabric to ensure availability of engagement data.
• Support new data sources and ingestion pipelines for timely access to data.
