Modern Family Law is seeking a Legal Knowledge Engineer to bridge legal expertise and AI systems, translating workflows into scalable AI-enabled delivery. You will work with attorneys, product teams, and developers to design decision trees and prompt architectures for family law processes, while maintaining governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent practical legal workflow experience required.
• Strong understanding of legal workflows and operational design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into structured workflows.

Responsibilities

• Translate legal reasoning, workflows, and procedural requirements into structured AI-enabled systems.
• Design decision trees, escalation frameworks, workflow logic, and prompt architectures for family law workflows.
• Collaborate with attorneys and operational teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Maintain institutional legal knowledge repositories and playbooks.
• Develop AI prompts, retrieval systems, and workflow orchestration logic.
• Assist in building AI-powered intake, document automation, and client communications.
• Partner with product managers, developers, and AI engineers on implementation and testing.
• Define QA, human-review, and escalation standards for AI outputs.
• Monitor AI outputs for quality, compliance, and efficiency.
• Document legal workflows and governance procedures.
• Stay informed on AI tech and regulatory developments in legal services.
