Job summary

Modern Family Law is seeking an AI Workflow Engineer / Automation Architect to design and implement AI-native legal workflows and automation systems. The role focuses on building the plumbing for AI-enabled service delivery, tooling, and integrations across the firm's technology landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in software engineering or related field.
• Deep experience in workflow automation, systems integration, or automation architecture.
• Production-grade Python with established testing, CI/CD practices.
• Design and build AI agent workflows using orchestration frameworks and retrieval pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled workflow orchestration across legal and operations.
• Develop integrations between AI platforms, CRMs, document systems, client portals, and payments.
• Create event-driven pipelines for intake, document generation, routing, and escalation.
• Collaborate with Legal Knowledge Engineers and Product Managers to translate workflows into scalable architectures.
• Implement API/webhook integrations and ensure security, governance, and compliance planning.
