Job summary

The Ladders is seeking a Director of Business Operations to join a leader in the Business Services space. This remote role will shape the company’s business operations strategy, strengthening systems and processes to support day-to-day execution and long-term scalability.

It will partner closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams to simplify workflows, improve data visibility, and reduce operational friction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and running business systems at scale in SaaS or high-growth firms.
• Hands-on with modern operations stack (HubSpot, Airtable, Zapier).
• Experience building AI agents and AI initiatives.
• Track record auditing complex automation and managing tech debt.
• Deep knowledge of email deliverability infrastructure and best practices.
• Experience unifying data sources for reporting.
• Demonstrated leadership in operations teams and cross-functional change.
• Strong strategic thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and set the roadmap for the company’s business systems stack, including core operations tools and automation platforms
• Establish and enforce standards for internal tools and automations to reduce fragility and single points of failure
• Audit and manage home-built data and workflow systems, making decisions on improvements and migrations
• Map and enhance cross-functional processes, eliminating redundancies and unnecessary meetings
• Lead the Business Operations team, overseeing IT helpdesk, vendor management, and process documentation
• Develop a remediation plan for company-wide email deliverability, focusing on authentication and monitoring
• Collaborate with Engineering to create a unified data layer across multiple platforms
• Drive the company’s AI transformation program, piloting and implementing effective AI tools
