Job summary

RWS is seeking AI Conversation Recording Contributors for an English (Australia) speech data collection project. This freelance, work-from-home role offers flexible scheduling (approximately 2-4 hours daily) with immediate start and a rate of 21 USD per hour.

Tasks include recording, annotation, and metadata provisioning to support evaluation and development of AI technologies. Contributors will work remotely, providing spontaneous speech from real-life contexts.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Australian English
• Strong pronunciation and familiarity with English through everyday use
• Advanced level of English to understand written instructions
• Contributors must not imitate dialects or accents that are not their own
• Experience with speech recording or data annotation projects is an advantage, but not required
• Strong attention to detail when providing annotations and recording metadata
• Ability to follow detailed project and recording instructions

Responsibilities

• Record or collect natural, spontaneous speech according to project guidelines
• Capture speech from approved real-life situations (workplace conversations, casual discussions)
• Complete single or two-person conversational speech tasks or voice/voice-text interactions with AI systems
• Annotate collected speech data per instructions
• Provide required information and metadata for each recording
