Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers for a fully remote hourly contract to help shape AI coding assistants by building, evaluating, and improving AI-generated code. You will review AI outputs, provide expert feedback, and help train systems to think like real developers.

You’ll write code, debug, and design prompts, working asynchronously on your own schedule, 10–40 hours per week. Proficiency in several languages and solid CS fundamentals are expected.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Able to read, write, and reason about code with clarity.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Clear written communicator and independent worker.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across a range of languages and problem domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and best practices.
• Identify bugs, logic errors, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works—or doesn't.
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge‑case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule.
