Job summary

Alignerr Corp. in Portland is seeking Software Engineers for a fully remote hourly contract to build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code. You will write solutions, review AI outputs, and provide expert feedback to make AI coding assistants smarter, safer, and more reliable.

This is hands-on engineering work at the frontier of AI development—independent, flexible, and asynchronous, with 10–40 hours per week. If you can write clean code and explain your reasoning, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across languages.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for quality.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Provide detailed feedback explaining code decisions.
• Design prompts and edge cases to stress-test AI.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
