Job summary

Ladders is seeking an AI Software Engineer to build and scale backend systems that bring Generative AI into production for mission-critical insurance applications. You will design reliable microservices, integrate AI tools, and improve performance, security, and scalability across cloud deployments.

The role emphasizes hands-on collaboration, CI/CD automation, and active participation in testing, code review, and releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Java Spring Boot or Python.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Generative AI APIs and/or open-source models.
• Experience with LangChain, LLM orchestration, or RAG pipelines.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, embedding models, or vector databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using modern frameworks like Java Spring Boot or Python FastAPI.
• Integrate and deploy Generative AI models into production environments.
• Fine‑tune and optimize large language models for specific use cases.
• Build secure, scalable, and high‑performance microservices.
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.
