Ladders is seeking an AI Software Engineer to build and scale backend systems that bring Generative AI into production for mission-critical insurance applications. You will design reliable microservices, integrate AI tools, and improve performance, security, and scalability across cloud deployments.

The role emphasizes hands-on collaboration, CI/CD automation, and active participation in testing, code review, and releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Java Spring Boot or Python.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Generative AI APIs and/or open-source models.
• Experience with LangChain, LLM orchestration, or RAG pipelines.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, embedding models, or vector databases.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using modern frameworks like Java Spring Boot or Python FastAPI.

For our client, we are seeking a AI Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will focus on building and scaling backend systems that bring Generative AI capabilities into production for mission-critical insurance applications. You will work closely with engineering partners to design reliable microservices, integrate modern AI tools, and improve the performance, security, and scalability of core platforms. The position also involves cloud deployment, CI/CD automation, and hands‑on collaboration across testing, code review, and release activities.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities
