Job summary

Stride, Inc. seeks an AI Architect to design and deliver production-ready AI solutions nationwide. You will lead a small team of AI Engineers, mentor colleagues, and coordinate with UX and subject matter experts to deliver ML-powered enterprise outcomes.

You will oversee model development, deployment, and governance across K12 contexts. The role requires hands-on experience building end-to-end ML pipelines in cloud environments, strong coding standards, and the ability to prioritize multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or related field; 6+ years' related experience or equivalent
• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect are a plus but not mandatory
• Experience designing and deploying machine learning models, especially NLP and recommender systems, with Python and ML libraries

Responsibilities

• Drives conception, prototyping, and deployment of ML models across product lines
• Leverages AWS/Azure, containers, and IaC to build scalable AI systems
• Oversees data ingestion, model training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Supervises 1–3 AI Engineers and flex contributors
• Mentors on coding best practices and model development
• Collaborates with Product, Engineering, IT, and Data Stewards to align AI with business goals
• Ensures governance, privacy, and compliance for AI solutions
• Keeps AI deliverables well-documented, reproducible, and monitored
• Advocates for DevOps/MLOps, agile methods, and cross-functional collaboration
• Aligns AI capabilities with K12 and enterprise needs and strategy
• Identifies opportunities for data science across the business
