Job summary

Excellus Health Plan Inc. seeks an Affordability Portfolio Manager to coordinate governance, track initiatives, and ensure affordability programs are prioritized and monitored across cross-functional teams.

This role serves as the operational backbone, driving transparency and accountability within the affordability function. You will support governance forums, develop dashboards, and collaborate with Analytics, Finance, Clinical Services, Operations, IT, and Product to deliver measurable

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in project coordination, program administration, healthcare operations, governance support, portfolio coordination, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Project Management, Finance, or related field; or additional six years of related experience.
• PMP or other project management certification preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, health insurance, project management, governance processes, or portfolio administration.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in matrixed environments.
• Experience developing meeting materials, tracking deliverables, and supporting cross-functional teams.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead affordability governance meetings, workgroups, steering committees, and operational forums.
• Develop agendas, meeting materials, minutes, action logs, decision trackers, and summaries.
• Maintain affordability initiative inventory, intake logs, status trackers, and portfolio documentation.
• Assist with executive presentations, dashboards, scorecards, and reporting materials.
• Support intake and prioritization processes through documentation and coordination.
• Collaborate with initiative owners to collect status updates and maintain portfolio information.
• Support annual planning, roadmap development, and affordability reporting.
• Present portfolio recommendations and update leadership on status, risks, and outcomes.
