Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Aerospace Technical Writer for a remote contract in the St George, UT area. The role involves writing, editing, and formatting technical documents such as specs, SDRLs, test reports, procedures, user guides, and manuals.

Strong Word skills, aerospace knowledge, and 5+ years of experience are required; government clearance eligibility is preferred. Qualified candidates should have a degree in journalism, technical writing, aerospace engineering, or related fields, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in journalism, technical writing, aerospace engineering, or closely related discipline.
5 years minimum experience in technical writing or related field.
Experience with creating and formatting technical publications (specifications, SDRLs, test reports).
Ability to obtain a government clearance.

Responsibilities

Write, edit, and format technical documents including technical specifications, SDRLs, test reports, procedures, and proposals.
Produce user guides and manuals and other technical publications.
Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of documentation.
