This contract-to-perm role blends hands-on testing and assembly with authoring clear, compliant documentation, collaborating with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an engineering technician in aerospace/aviation.
• Experience producing procedures and maintenance documentation in a regulated industry.
• Knowledge of FAA/EASA DO-178/DO-254/AS9100 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, bench test, calibrate aerospace components and subsystems.
• Support test campaigns: set up rigs, instrument systems, gather/analyze data, log results.
• Create and maintain SOPs, test procedures/reports, maintenance instructions, work cards.
• Translate engineering specs and test results into clear, structured content for technicians, engineers and auditors.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing and product teams to capture content and revise documents.
• Participate in root cause investigations and write technical summaries and corrective actions.
• Maintain test equipment calibration records and lab safety compliance.
• Support certification documentation and audits with evidence and controlled documents.
