Howmet Aerospace has an opening for a Quality Systems/Assurance Engineer in the Patterns Business Center at the Engines Products - Cleveland Operations Tempcraft facility, 3960 S. Marginal Rd, Cleveland.

The role provides hands-on quality support to manufacturing, inspection, and engineering, and requires interaction with suppliers and customers to achieve process stability and capability. The position is first shift, Monday–Friday, with a focus on AS9100 conformity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum five years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Be punctual in meeting assignments.
• Cooperative and loyal teamwork attitude.
• Heavy Excel abilities including formulas and pivot tables.
• AS9100 knowledge strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual internal audits per AS9100 requirements.
• Lead external audits.
• Review and implement quality system changes.
• Drive root cause on Corrective Actions to reduce returns.
• Develop supplier scorecards for On-Time Delivery and Returns.
• Communicate with customers for problem resolution.
• Receive and resolve issues from customers.
• Interact with leadership and operations to manage quality.
• Support EH&S metrics and comply with EH&S programs.
