Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to support the Quality Management System at our Whitehall, MI facility. Responsibilities include audits, root-cause analysis, and driving corrective actions across the plant and with suppliers.

The role requires knowledge of AS9100/Nadcap, strong coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple audits and quality initiatives effectively.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 4 years quality experience in manufacturing or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of quality experience in manufacturing.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Management System for the assigned plant.
• Conduct annual internal audits per AS9100 requirements.
• Coordinate and support external audits for certification bodies (AS9100, Nadcap).
• Coordinate and support customer audits (internal & external).
• Review and implement quality system changes.
• CAB meeting administrator and drive root cause on CARs.
• Coordinate supplier on-site visits for audits and problem solving.
