Job summary

Temu is seeking an Algorithm Engineer (Ads) for a full-time remote role. You will formulate optimization problems, refine cross-channel budget pacing, and implement intelligent bid adjustments across major search platforms.

You will also apply exploratory data analysis to quantify the financial impact of strategic initiatives, and collaborate with data and software engineers to deploy AI pipelines and production-ready models for ads and landing pages.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a highly quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience in algorithmic roles, data science, or ML.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with ML frameworks and LLMs (prompt engineering, fine-tuning).
• Deep understanding of statistics, causal inference, and rigorous A/B testing design.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and adaptability across technical domains.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and solve optimization problems for cross-channel budget pacing and bid adjustments across major search platforms.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to evaluate financial impact of strategic initiatives and ad performance.
• Utilize and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate and iterate high-converting ad copy and keywords.
• Integrate multi-modal/image generation models to optimize visual assets for ads and landing pages.
• Implement algorithms to organize massive keyword lists into coherent ad groups.
• Collaborate with data and software engineers to deploy bidding rules, analytical models, and Generative AI pipelines into production environments.
