Job summary

Reddit is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer (Ads Creative Effectiveness) to lead GenAI-driven ad creation. Remote in the United States, you will architect advanced generative workflows and end-to-end editing that preserves branding while maximizing click-through and conversions.

You will fine-tune vision-language models with performance feedback, build safety layers, and collaborate across Product, Policy, UX, and Ads teams to deploy ACE capabilities in the Ad Manager and delivery path.

Qualifications

• Deep ML expertise with hands-on experience in generative workflows for ads.
• Quantitative experimentation with uplift metrics and A/B testing for generative systems.
• Understanding ads marketplace dynamics to drive revenue and retention.
• Startup mindset with bias to action and speed.
• Ability to distill complex ML trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders.
• Prior work on ad creative tooling such as headline/image generators and editing flows.

Responsibilities

• Architect state-of-the-art generative pipelines for ad creative generation preserving brand assets.
• Build end-to-end image and video editing capabilities with smart-cropping, inpainting, outpainting, resize and style-transfer.
• Fine-tune vision-language models using ad performance metrics (CTR/CVR) with RLHF/RLPF feedback loops.
• Implement safety, copyright checks, and filtering to prevent non-compliant content.
• Collaborate with Product, Sales, Policy, UX, and other Ads ML teams to integrate ACE into UI and delivery paths.
• Establish guardrails and human-in-the-loop escalation for brand safety.
