Job summary

Reddit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Agentic Ads Experience to design, build, and ship AI-powered ad experiences for Reddit Ads Platform. You will own end-to-end features, from framing problems to rollout and measurement, focusing on reliable, scalable agentic systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration with PM, Design, Data Science, and Trust teams, applying hands-on AI to improve advertiser workflows while ensuring safety and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production systems.
• Hands-on experience building generative AI applications: structured outputs, function/tool calls, prompt design, RAG, and model routing.
• Strong interest and opinions on agents, LLMs, and related tooling.
• Solid fundamentals in APIs, distributed systems, queues, data stores, auth, retries, and observability.
• Experience defining evals and measurement for AI systems, both offline and online.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship advertiser-facing AI features and platform end-to-end.
• Make architectural calls on using generative AI, workflows, or retrieval systems.
• Build for failure modes of LLMs with guardrails, retries, and cost controls.
• Define offline/online evals, instrument traces, and monitor metrics.
• Collaborate with PM, Design, Data Science, ML Platform, Trust, and sales/ops.
