Job summary

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is hiring an Admissions Counselor II to recruit students from the San Antonio region. The role is remote but requires residence in the region and occasional travel for outreach, campus events, and partner engagements with counselors and schools.

The candidate will advise prospective undergraduates on admissions, transferability, and program offerings, build community partnerships, and coordinate regional recruitment activities with the admissions team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of related experience; substitution: Associate's degree + 3 years may suffice.
• Willingness to travel and work irregular hours, including weekends.
• Strong public speaking and presentation, customer service, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite; able to learn TAMU-CC admissions and offerings.

Responsibilities

• Advise San Antonio area students on admission requirements, enrollment information, and TAMU-CC offerings.
• Build relationships with San Antonio high schools, counselors, and community organizations.
• Visit San Antonio schools for presentations, attend college fairs and events.
• Coordinate recruitment events and TACRAO activities; travel to campus as needed.
