Job summary

Texas A&M University System is seeking an Admissions Counselor II to recruit and advise Dallas-area students on admissions, transfer options, and campus opportunities. The role involves coordinating school visits, presenting at events, and collaborating with counselors and community organizations to raise awareness of TAMU-CC.

The position is remote with the incumbent residing in the Dallas region, requiring travel to events and occasional campus visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 1 year related experience; may substitute with Associate’s degree + 3 years of related experience.
• Must be willing to travel and work irregular hours including weekends.
• Strong public speaking, presentation, customer service, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise Dallas area students on admission requirements, enrollment information, and academic offerings.
• Build relationships with Dallas area high schools, community colleges, counselors, and organizations.
• Visit Dallas schools to offer presentations and host admissions events; attend college fairs and signing days.
• Coordinate recruitment programs and events; travel to campus for previews and trainings; reconcile travel statements.
