Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking a Manager for Actuarial & Technical Services to support the annual administration of Defined Benefit and Retiree Medical plans.

This is a fully remote position within the United States, reporting to the VP – Chief Actuary. The role requires extensive actuarial and pension experience, Enrolled Actuary designation, and strong leadership skills for supervising or mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• College degree required; Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics preferred.
• Enrolled Actuary designation required; FSA or ASA designation a plus.
• Ten or more years of practical actuarial and pension experience.
• Proficient in Proval valuation software.
• Knowledge of post-retirement medical plans.
• Prior supervisory or management experience a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; VBA and Macros a plus.

Responsibilities

• Funding and FASB valuations – Code valuation software for new plans, amendments, life insurance and assumption changes; reconcile assets and life insurance; calculate contribution requirements; prepare valuation reports and filings (Form 5500 & PBGC).
• Benefit calculations – Prepare/review benefit calculations for qualified and non-qualified plans including RMDs and QDROs based on plan provisions and IRS rules.
• Non-discrimination testing – Analyze data and perform 410(b) minimum coverage tests, 401(a)(26) participation tests and 401(a)(4) general tests.
• Special projects – Prepare plan amendments, cost/funding projections, and assist with plan terminations in coordination with PBGC.
