The selected candidate will perform valuations, certifications, and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with IRS funding rules and PBGC requirements. Strong Excel/Word, detail orientation, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• EA designation required.
• Five+ years of pension experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Actuarial valuations & certifications – review and perform funding valuations for single employer defined benefit and cash balance plans.
• Regulatory filings & compliance – review and sign Form 5500 Schedule SBs, PBGC filings, valuation reports, and AFTAPs.
• Technical review – review valuation outputs, benefit calculations, and testing; ensure accuracy.
• Benefit calculations – oversee participant calculations and RMDs.
• Non-discrimination testing – review testing results and methodologies.
• Plan design & new business support – assist with proposals and advise on design and funding.
• Plan amendments & special projects – review amendments and PBGC terminations.
