Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to oversee daily AR functions while promoting accuracy of student revenue channels in a remote environment.

The role requires 3–5 years AR experience, strong Excel skills, GAAP understanding, and familiarity with NetSuite and Salesforce. You will collaborate with AR teammates to resolve billing issues and support collections, delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in accounts receivable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting functions.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Salesforce a plus.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment and independently.
• Adequately handle multiple demands with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate data entry, general ledger coding, and allocation of student invoices for assigned revenue channels.
• Submit invoices on external partner portals as required.
• Resolve complex billing issues and discrepancies as needed.
• Monitor and process incoming payments daily.
• Research unidentified payments and process accordingly.
• Process student cases daily; cancellations, withdrawals, and program changes.
• Reconcile revenue for assigned student channels weekly and at month-end close.
• Identify accounts that require adjustments and execute accordingly.
• Conduct payment reconciliation on accounts as needed.
• Lead collections efforts on delinquent accounts.
• Provide outstanding customer service on internal and external requests.
• Assist the AR Manager in reducing outstanding receivables and reconciling the student deposit account.
• Partner with other AR team members to cross train as necessary.
• Document processes and procedures specific to assigned student revenue channels as needed.
• Special projects and tasks as directed.
