Job summary

UNFI is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to manage invoicing, payment processing, and collections while maintaining accurate customer records. The role supports cash flow and requires attention to detail and solid communication with customers and internal teams.

The remote position offers opportunities to work with a national network of clients, with travel minimal and essential for team alignment. 0–2 years of accounting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent on-the-job experience).
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting, billing, or general office administration.
• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with accounting software required.

Responsibilities

• Invoicing & Billing: Generate and distribute accurate invoices and statements.
• Payment Processing: Record and reconcile incoming payments and apply them to customer accounts.
• Collections: Monitor aging reports and contact clients to secure payment.
• Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or queries.
• Account Reconciliation: Maintain and update files and customer records.
• Reporting: Assist in periodic aging and collection progress reports.
