Merakey is hiring a full-time Accounts Receivable Coordinator for the Business Operations team, with remote work option for eligible states. The role focuses on follow-up, rebilling, and collections across payers, in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has medical billing experience, AR exposure, and strong Excel/Office skills, with good organizational and customer service abilities. Remote work is available to multiple states.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year experience in medical billing.
• Strong PC skills focusing on Excel.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of insurance billing for third-party payers.
• Two years accounts receivable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow up AR for assigned payers.
• Review rejections, correct, and re-bill or adjust.
• Contact insurers to confirm payments or explain rejections.
• Maintain AR goals for assigned payers.
• Review refunds and credit balances.
• Document comments and follow guidelines.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
