Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in AP supervisory or leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as QuickBooks and NetSuite.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate AP staff.
• Assign and monitor daily work to maintain balanced workload.
• Manage full invoice-processing cycle: three-way matching, approvals for ACH, wires, checks; audit expense reports.
• Escalate vendor disputes, maintain supplier relationships, negotiate favorable payment terms or discounts.
• Lead AP during month-end close; reconcile GLs, post journal entries, prepare aged payables for exec review.
• Establish and enforce AP policies to reduce fraud and data-entry risks.
• Coordinate tax compliance: W-9 tracking, 1099 reporting, and sales/use tax filings.
• Assess workflows and implement automation or ERP enhancements to improve efficiency.
