Job summary

Cart.com is hiring an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a dynamic AP team and optimize payment processes. You will oversee invoicing, payments, vendor relations, and reconciliations while driving process improvements across the AP function.

You will partner with cross-functional teams in finance and operations, ensuring accurate month-end close and compliance with tax regulations. This role offers growth in a fast-growing ecommerce environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of accounts payable experience with vendor management, invoicing, and payments.
• Supervisory experience and ability to mentor AP staff.
• Experience in high-growth environments, preferably in ecommerce or tech.
• Strong knowledge of AP systems such as Bill.com and ERP platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
• Process improvement mindset with proven results.
• Knowledge of tax compliance (W-9, 1099) is a plus.
• Experience with automation tools to streamline AP processes.
• Project management experience for system upgrades or process overhauls.

Responsibilities

• Manage the AP function end-to-end including invoicing, payments, vendor management, and reconciliation.
• Lead and mentor a small AP team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and scalability.
• Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve invoicing issues promptly.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations and accruals.
• Prepare AP reports and provide cash flow insights to management.
• Collaborate with IT and finance on AP systems (Bill.com, Dynamics).
• Assist audits with accurate documentation and reports.
• Create training materials and SOPs for the AP team.
• Work cross-functionally with procurement, finance, and operations.
