Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant for a fully remote contract role based near Darien, CT. You will manage general ledger activities, prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support the month-end close while acting as aSenior preparer with leadership review.

Deep NetSuite experience and a strong GAAP background are required, along with 8–10 years in accounting and 2–4 years in a management capacity.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years accounting experience with focus on general ledger and month-end close.
• 2–4 years of management-level experience, overseeing work quality without direct reports.
• Hands-on NetSuite financials work including entries, reconciliations, reporting.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and application to financial reporting and balance sheets.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and balance sheets.
• CPA designation or relevant industry experience in data center or SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries with GAAP compliance and proper support.
• Perform detailed general ledger reconciliations as part of monthly close.
• Support full month-end close including balance sheet and financial statements.
• Oversee quality of accounting work at a manager level, with leadership review.
• Assist with internal financial statements and related schedules.
• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting controls.
