Job summary

builtinintegrationsandbox is seeking a fully remote accounting professional to join the finance team. The role supports budgeting, forecasting, and audit readiness under the Controller; responsibilities include reconciliations, journal entries, revenue recognition, and financial statement preparation.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's in accounting, 3–5 years at staff level or 5–8 years at senior level, with strong GAAP knowledge and experience with NetSuite/Intacct/QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years at staff level or 5–8 years at senior level in accounting or auditing, ideally with public accounting experience.
• Thorough working knowledge of financial statement preparation, GAAP, and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Run core accounting operations, including reconciliations, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing.
• Analyse and review expenditures, confirm correct departmental allocation, and report back to budget owners.
• Verify that transactions are recorded in line with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Review billing transactions to validate revenue recognition treatment.
• Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly journal entries and accruals, and assist in preparing financial statements and budget variance analyses.
• Contribute to budget preparation, year-end tax and audit schedules, and ongoing refinement of accounting processes.
