Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Accounting Manager for a newly created role to manage growing workload and improve accounting efficiency. The role requires prior line management experience and a blend of public and private accounting, with a CPA being highly desirable.

This position is fully remote and prefers candidates on Eastern or Central time. Responsibilities include daily accounting operations, financial statement analysis, month- and year-end close, internal controls, budgeting assistance,

Qualifications

• Must have mix of public and private accounting experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting.
• CPA qualification is highly desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including AP, AR, and GL.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors for timely audits.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team toward goals.
• Process improvements across finance and accounting.
• Oversee complex billing process with Billing Manager.
