Clark Schaefer Hackett seeks an experienced Manager to lead delivery across a portfolio of outsourced accounting engagements. You will review financial statements and workpapers, manage budgets, and guide a distributed team including offshore resources to deliver accurate results.

The role emphasizes client relationship management, scope and fee setting, and identifying advisory opportunities in planning, cash flow forecasting, and FP&A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a review capacity and 1+ year directing and coaching others.
• CPA or CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own timely, accurate delivery across a portfolio of monthly, quarterly, and annual after-the-fact accounting engagements.
• Review trial balances, reconciliations, schedules, financial statements, and year-end tax packages; approve work before release.
• Approve preparation and compilation engagements per firm standards and guidance.
• Scope, price and oversee cleanup, catch-up, and multi-period reconstruction engagements.
• Manage portfolio budgets, billing, realization, margin, and calendars across a high-volume book of business.
• Serve as the first-line client relationship owner, setting scope, timing and fees; escalate issues as needed.
• Identify advisory opportunities such as strategic planning, cash flow forecasting, and FP&A.”
• Allocate work and manage capacity across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring consistent standards.
• Coach 4–8 team members daily and provide performance input to leadership.
• Use feedback to improve first-pass quality and reduce rework; grow team capability.
• Identify opportunities to migrate clients to Managed Accounting Services.
