Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations in a remote role based in Ohio. You will oversee the general ledger, close activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, fixed assets, and accounting systems administration while partnering with the Controller to build a scalable organization.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, 2+ years of people leadership, strong GAAP/SOX knowledge, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close processes and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations for the entity.
• Oversee general ledger, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
• Prepare and review financial reporting and analyses.
• Manage account reconciliations and fixed assets.
• Support ERP implementations and accounting system transformations.
• Enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate external audit activities and stand-alone readiness.
• Provide team leadership and development; drive process improvements.
