Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years public accounting or 8+ years private accounting experience, including prior management experience.
• Thorough understanding of US GAAP principles and SOX internal control environments; ability to identify key accounting issues and apply correct treatment under US GAAP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage and influence multi-level staff up to executive management.
• Ability to lead teams and supervise staff; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency required; experience with Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes for assigned markets with timely execution.
• Supervise, train, and develop staff and senior accountants.
• Review reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger close for assigned markets (Workday).
• Support SOX compliance and participate in year-end audits and quarterly filings.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting packages; explain variances to FP&A and market directors.
• Identify process improvements within Accounting and Finance and document procedures.
