Job summary

Rho Nutrition is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the finance function as the company scales its DTC, Shopify, and national retail channels. You will own month-end close, revenue recognition, COGS, payroll, tax compliance, audits, and team mentorship.

The role collaborates with Operations and Sales in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, offering remote work flexibility and strong benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting experience, incl. 3 years in CPG/FB/manufacturing/e-commerce.
Experience managing full accounting cycle for DTC/Amazon/wholesale/retail channels.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, inventory & cost accounting.
Experience supervising accounting staff.
CPA certification or candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end close process; close within three business days.
Reconcile revenue and COGS across Shopify, Amazon, wholesale, and other channels per ASC 606.
Maintain general ledger; manage journal entries, accruals, prepaids, reconciliations.
Oversee accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, collections, onboarding, W-9/W-8, 1099 reporting.
Review AR aging and resolve disputes, deductions, and chargebacks.
Supervise and train junior accountants in reconciliations and daily functions.
Review customer deductions, rebates, allowances, and chargebacks."
Manage inventory accounting and reconcile balances and COGS.
Oversee multi-state sales tax compliance and filings.
