Job summary

Clark Schaefer Hackett is seeking an experienced Manager to own delivery across a portfolio of clients and lead the team delivery model. You will review and approve financial statements, manage budgets, and serve as the first point of contact for clients.

The ideal candidate will coach a distributed team, work across time zones, and participate in advisory opportunities such as cash flow forecasting and financial planning. Remote-capable, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5-8 years accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a review capacity and at least 1 year directing and coaching others.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience managing a high-volume portfolio of outsourced accounting, compilation or after-the-fact clients preferred.
• Experience with financial statement preparation or compilation engagements required.
• Experience working with or supervising offshore or distributed delivery teams preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including reconstructing ledgers from unstructured client data and building reusable schedules.
• Administrator-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, plus working proficiency in Xero, Sage 50, or another client-side accounting platform.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery across a portfolio of clients and lead the team delivery model.
• Review and approve financial statements and workpaper packages.
• Manage portfolio budgets, billing, realization, margin, and calendars.
• Serve as the first-line client relationship owner and set scope, timing and fees.
• Take on advisory opportunities including cash flow forecasting and financial planning and analysis.
• Allocate work and manage capacity across onshore and offshore teams; supervise 4-8 team members.
• Provide performance input to senior management and drive process improvements.
• Identify growth opportunities and participate in networking and proposals.
