Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Accounting Director to lead essential accounting operations for a respected nonprofit. This remote role (Eastern Time) provides strategic influence on compliance, financial reporting, and overall financial strategy.

Responsibilities include GL, payroll, fixed assets, month-end close, audits, budgeting and forecasting, and driving automation. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred; 7–9 years in accounting with 3–5

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
7–9 years of progressive accounting experience across public accounting and industry.
3–5 years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, ERP systems, and financial compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead general accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, fixed assets, and statutory reporting.
Oversee month-end and fiscal close processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Manage internal controls, regulatory compliance, and accounting standards adherence.
Direct internal and external audits and related financial documentation.
Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and executive reporting.
Drive process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
