Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Accounting Director to lead essential accounting operations for a respected nonprofit. This remote role (Eastern Time) provides strategic influence on compliance, financial reporting, and overall financial strategy.

Responsibilities include GL, payroll, fixed assets, month-end close, audits, budgeting and forecasting, and driving automation. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred; 7–9 years in accounting with 3–5

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 7–9 years of progressive accounting experience across public accounting and industry.
• 3–5 years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, ERP systems, and financial compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead general accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, fixed assets, and statutory reporting.
• Oversee month-end and fiscal close processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage internal controls, regulatory compliance, and accounting standards adherence.
• Direct internal and external audits and related financial documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and executive reporting.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
