Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Accounting Director to lead all accounting and financial operations with ASC 842, NetSuite, and a focus on compliance. This fully remote role supports a growth-oriented organization headquartered in NYC, with the option for quarterly NYC office visits.

You will manage month-end close, reporting, payroll, and the audit process while steering internal controls and policy development. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (CPA or MBA preferred) with 5+

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior-level finance or accounting role.
• Hands-on experience in operational accounting.
• Knowledge of ASC 842, lease accounting, NetSuite, GL.
• Experience with Form 990, tax, payroll.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely.
• Proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger close processes (month, quarter, year).
• Ensure ASC 842 compliance and lease accounting.
• Implement and maintain NetSuite across the organization.
• Prepare financial reports including Form 990.
• Oversee payroll, tax, and investments.
• Provide guidance on revenue recognition and technical accounting.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit.
• Develop internal controls and policies for budgeting, cash, and accounting.
• Collaborate with the legal team for compliance.
• Lead accounts payable/receivable teams.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team.
