Job summary

builtinintegrationsandbox is seeking an experienced accountant for a fully remote role in its cloud-based learning platform company. You will support day-to-day financial operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, audits, and process improvements.

This role reports to the Controller and informs strategic financial decisions. The candidate should have a Bachelor's in accounting (CPA preferred) with 3–8 years of accounting or auditing experience, strong Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred
• 3-5 years of staff-level accounting or 5-8 years for senior in accounting/auditing
• Thorough knowledge of financial statement prep, GAAP, and revenue recognition
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to convey financial info clearly
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; hands-on with NetSuite, Intacct, or QuickBooks
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, deadline-driven; strong analytical and problem-solving; multitask in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Manage core accounting workflows: reconciliations, journal entries, AR, AP, and billing
• Analyze expenditures; report variances; ensure proper expense allocation
• Verify transactions align with GAAP and policies; apply revenue recognition to billing
• Review GL accounts; post accruals; assist in balance sheets and income statements
• Support budgets; perform variance analysis; prepare year-end tax schedules
• Continuously identify and implement improvements to accounting processes
