Job summary

GenesisConsultingPartners, LLC is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support payroll, timekeeping, invoicing, AP/AR, and financial reporting from a remote location. The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and proactive process improvements within a government-contracting / services-focused environment.

The successful candidate will bring at least two years of accounting experience, familiarity with project-based accounting, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Project-based accounting experience and thorough knowledge.
• Federal contracting/DCCA compliance is highly desired.
• Experience in services/staffing industry is a plus.
• Preparation of financial reports (periodic, monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Accounts reconciliation skills.
• Payroll and Timekeeping experience.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Detail oriented and focus on compliance, best practices, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support periodic/monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports (day-to-day and standard reports).
• Assist with quarterly jurisdictional reports (Sales & Use, property tax, etc.).
• Responsible for 1099 reporting.
• Support project and program management reporting.
• Invoicing: periodic/weekly/monthly/milestone deliverables.
• AP: vendor setup, invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
• Payroll submittal/reconciliation and YE processing.
