Job summary

North American Savings Bank (NASB) is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the Accounting team in processing wire transfers and maintaining accurate ledger entries. The role oversees daily operations, reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 8am–5pm hours and a flexible remote option 1–2 days per week. NASB provides competitive compensation and benefits as part of a collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred or equivalent college coursework and professional experience.
• 2–5 years basic accounting experience preferred.
• Effective business communication skills (oral and written).
• Time management or organizational skills; detail-oriented and thorough.
• Strong interpersonal communication; able to interact across the bank.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High-volume data entry accuracy.
• Troubleshooting and corrective action ability.
• Knowledge of basic accounting: debits/credits; Excel proficiency.
• Experience with general ledger maintenance is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process outgoing wire and funds transfer requests.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts as assigned.
• Support branch operating activities (stop payment requests, cash orders).
• Complete GL journal entries as necessary.
• Contribute to the month end close process.
• Assist internal and external auditors with retrieving information.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
