Wing Assistant is seeking an Accounting Assistant with taxation experience for a fully remote role. The candidate will manage AP/AR, file tax returns across US, EU, AU, and UK regions, and ensure compliance with regional standards. 2+ years of accounting experience and proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience with exposure to US/EU/AU/UK tax regulations.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regional compliance laws.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar software.
• Excellent English communication skills: reading, writing, speaking.
• Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Tech-savvy with MS Excel and cloud-based accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliation and reporting.
• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with US, EU, AU, and UK tax laws.
• Conduct audits and ensure financial statements meet regulatory standards.
• Maintain and update accounting records and systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local laws.
• Generate periodic financial reports and budgets to support strategic decision-making.
• Handle payroll processing, ensuring tax compliance and timely disbursements.
• Research and apply regional accounting and tax updates to ensure company compliance.
• Ad hoc tasks as needed to support the finance team.
