Job summary

Danfoss is seeking an Account Manager for Construction to drive growth and strengthen relationships with strategic customers in the hydraulics segment. You will own end-to-end commercial strategy, expand market presence, and deliver customer-focused solutions globally.

Remote role in the United States with up to 40% travel, ideally based in Ames, IA or Midwest. You will work with a global team and have autonomy to build strategic plans, cross-sell and grow share of wallet within accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with hydraulics understanding; Engineering or Business is a plus.
• 2–5 years in a technical sales or Account Manager role, ideally within hydraulics, off-highway, or adjacent industry.
• Self-driven and resilient with proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in a competitive market.
• Experience in account management, sales, or business development.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences including senior and c-level employees.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding share of wallet within customer accounts.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to introduce Danfoss products, shaping the future of the construction segment.
• Build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders, becoming the trusted advisor and voice of the customer within Danfoss.
• Act as a solution-oriented partner using technical knowledge to cross-sell and up-sell products to meet evolving needs.
• Collaborate globally with internal sales, support, and business unit teams to deliver seamless solutions that exceed customer expectations.
