Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to service an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. You will coordinate daily admin, handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis while maintaining strong carrier relationships.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, 3+ years of account management experience (5+ in insurance), and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business and support retention and new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues with accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client submissions.
• Negotiate coverages and present proposals for renewals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and data accuracy.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
