Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. This role requires coordinating day-to-day admin, resolving complex issues, and ensuring accuracy across policy administration, billing, and renewals.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active licensing, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing; CIC designation preferred
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
• Monitor activity to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain transparent communication with the account team regarding workload and issues.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
